Tommy Wright founded Griffith Park Pony Ride in 1948 and the popularity spread over the years. In 1980 he handed down the Griffith Park Pony Ride to his trusted friends the Bronk family. The Bronk family continued the tradition of providing accessible, safe, & reasonably priced pony rides to the children of Los Angeles. The Bronk family still operates the pony rides today in the same unique free ring style started over 60 years ago. This is something that is seldom seen this day and age.
Ponies go through an extensive and lengthy training process to determine which ride they will be best suited to work. Safety being a top priority, the Bronk family utilizes 60 years of experience in the pony/horse industry to make sure every child has a safe and wonderful experience. Our ponies are part of our extended family and receive regular check ups, special diets, and all the love and care to keep them happy and healthy.
The Bronk family is proud to share the joy of horse back riding and you can find us every day providing pony rides to children of all ages. Please say “hi” when you visit.
